The Kansas City Current turned in what was arguably their worst performance of the <a href=\"http:\/\/nwslsoccer.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"nwslsoccer.com\"><strong>National Women\u2019s Soccer League<\/strong><\/a> season on August 14, losing to Gotham FC 2-1 away from home. The electricity of Croix Bethune\u2019s assist less than 30 seconds into the match defused just as quickly, and by halftime the Current were behind and never regained the lead.
