Gravel riders rely on points from UCI Gravel World Series events, while top results at many of the most prestigious events in the discipline, such as The Traka and Unbound, along with the majority of the top-level US-based gravel calendar, count for nothing.<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"kiosq-b\">Races also haven&#8217;t always been overly heavy on gravel, though that has built from around 50% unpaved surfaces in the opening years and is now <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/pro-cycling\/the-gravelliest-uci-gravel-world-championships-of-them-all-a-detailed-look-at-the-perfect-storm-of-terrain-that-riders-will-face-this-october-in-western-australia\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/pro-cycling\/the-gravelliest-uci-gravel-world-championships-of-them-all-a-detailed-look-at-the-perfect-storm-of-terrain-that-riders-will-face-this-october-in-western-australia\/\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-article-category=\"pro-cycling\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/pro-cycling\/the-gravelliest-uci-gravel-world-championships-of-them-all-a-detailed-look-at-the-perfect-storm-of-terrain-that-riders-will-face-this-october-in-western-australia\/\" rel=\"noopener\">heading toward a not-seen-before level of above 80%<\/a> at the October 10-11 event in Western Australia&#8217;s Nannup.
