Wolf<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><template id=\"also-read-articles-template\"><\/p>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<p>Bublik, currently ranked World No. 16, enters the year&#8217;s last major without having played a competitive tournament since his runner-up finish in Kitzbuhel in July. However, instead of any injury, it was his decision to prioritize spending time with his family to celebrate his son&#8217;s birthday in August that led to his absence in Washington, Montreal and Cincinnati. Bublik also wanted to rest and recover in time for New York without exerting himself in the prior North American hard-court swing tournaments.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Wolf, the Cincinnati native currently ranked No. 248, is one of the wildcard entries into the 2026 US Open&#8217;s men&#8217;s singles main draw having won the tournament&#8217;s Wild Card Challenge in the buildup.
