The armor&#8217;s design is taken from the 2019 film, <em>Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back &#8211; Evolution<\/em> (a CGI remake of the 1998 film). <\/p>\n<p>While its battle prowess in Pokemon GO is questionable, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/pokemon\/pokemon-go-armored-mewtwo-guide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Armored Mewtwo<\/a> has been an elusive catch and the subject of plenty of trainer trades.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>Armored Mewtwo return date in Pokemon GO, how to encounter, and more<\/h2>\n<p>Armored Mewtwo will be available in Pokemon GO on <strong>September 5 <\/strong>and <strong>September 6, 2026<\/strong>. You will be able to encounter it in five-star raids on both days from <strong>10 am local time to 6 pm local time<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p><template id=\"also-read-articles-template\"><\/p>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<p>Armored Mewtwo was first launched back in July 2019 and then returned for Pokemon Day 2020. The raid boss had a CP of 41299 and 1821 or 2276 (weather-boosted) once caught.  <\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>Will Shiny Armored Mewtwo be available in Pokemon GO Mega Finale?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>No, Shiny Armored Mewtwo will not be available in Pokemon GO Mega Finale<\/strong>. Scopely has already confirmed this in their official announcement of the special &#8216;mon&#8217;s return. <\/p>\n<p>Not having the shiny variant debut alongside Armored Mewtwo&#8217;s return feels like a missed opportunity, given that the variant is not as effective in battles as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/pokemon\/all-forms-mewtwo-pokemon-games-ranked-worst-best\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">base Mewtwo<\/a> (usually having a niche in Ultra League) and cannot mega evolve either. <\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p>Armored Mewtwo&#8217;s position as one of the rarest and most sought-after trade Pokemon will drop once next weekend rolls in. With the third return of the variant, a lot more Pokemon GO players will be able to pick it up.
