Rory McIlroy<\/a> isn’t the spry, hungry youngster he once was. The 37-year-old doesn’t have much left to prove on the PGA<\/a> Tour, so he’s trying to lighten his schedule as much as possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n After playing three consecutive tournaments to close out the FedEx Cup Playoffs, McIlroy sounded off about his frustration and plans for the 2027 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n “It\u2019s frustrating to me, but it\u2019s also at the same time like no one wants to see me just go through the motions and be out there,” McIlroy told reporters after his T4 finish at the Tour Championship, per The Mirror<\/a>. “I feel like this is my third week in a row. I rarely do that anymore. I feel like that\u2019s my limit, like if I had to tee it up again next week \u2014 when the playoffs used to be four events instead of three \u2014 that to me is tough.
