The two stars, formerly known as Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston in WWE, debuted for AEW at All In 2026 this past Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on <em>The Ariel Helwani Show<\/em>, Kofi revealed that he contacted Big E for help in acquiring the rights to A$AP Ferg&#8217;s &#8220;New Level&#8221; song for their entrance theme. Big E instructed them to contact wrestling analyst and radio host Peter Rosenberg, who was able to make it happen.<\/p>\n<p><template id=\"template__newsletter-inline-banner-form-combo-widget\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"wrapper\">\n<p><img id=\"subscribe-img\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\nThanks for the submission!\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Then he (Big E) said talk to Peter Rosenberg as well. So we contacted Kaz, then we contacted Rosenberg, and we were talking to him for a little bit, explaining the whole situation to him. He\u2019s like alright, I\u2019m gonna make some calls. He knows Ferg, he\u2019s like \u2018I\u2019m gonna call Ferg, I\u2019ll call his manager\u2019, and literally within like 20 minutes he\u2019s like \u2018yep they\u2019re down, they\u2019re gonna talk to the right people,'&#8221; said Kofi. While in WWE, the two stars were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/wwe\/rumor-revealed-more-wwe-stars-asked-to-cut-deals-new-day-exit-explained-reports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">reportedly asked to take a pay cut<\/a>, and it resulted in them deciding to leave the promotion.<\/p>\n<h2>Kofi reveals that WWE asked The New Day to take more than a 50% pay cut<\/h2>\n<p>Former WWE star Kofi revealed that the promotion actually asked him to take a bigger pay cut than half of his salary.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on <em>The Ariel Helwani Show<\/em>, the 45-year-old shared that the pay cut offered was more than 50% and that they also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/wwe\/news-it-50-former-wwe-champion-details-recent-pay-cut\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">decided to go to AEW<\/a> because they knew their work would be appreciated.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt was more than 50%. More than a lot of people know. The compensation is a big part of it, for sure, but the bigger part is being able to go out and live your dream the way you want to live it and be appreciated for it. We took it all into consideration, and we knew this was the only path to take.
