Milton could soon return to Dallas after clearing waivers and becoming a free agent on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Cowboys are open to reuniting with the 26-year-old QB. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer and co-owner Stephen Jones <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yardbarker.com\/nfl\/articles\/brian_schottenheimer_reveals_cowboys_want_qb_joe_milton_back_after_difficult_roster_decision\/s1_17236_44247624\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">both said\u00a0<\/a>they would love to add him to their practice squad, which they should.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Why the Cowboys should re-sign Joe Milton III to practice squad\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Milton lost the backup QB job to Howell, but the competition was close. Milton completed 29-of-43 passes for 378 yards and three touchdowns in preseason.
