Later, Hayes got a title opportunity against the new champion, Trick Williams. Unfortunately, Baron Corbin returned to the Stamford-based promotion and ruined their bout.<\/p>\n<p>After SummerSlam in Minnesota, Corbin defended the United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes on Friday Night SmackDown in Boston and won. The 32-year-old WWE star is still working in the mid-card division on WWE SmackDown.
