Interestingly, Rune had only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/wwe\/news-wwe-files-several-trademarks-mark-abrams-anya-rune\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">recently begun her journey<\/a> with the company, having attended tryouts back in February 2026. As part of its women&#8217;s division, she faced off against stars like Zena Sterling, Layla Diggs, and Skylar Raye.<\/p>\n<p>Rune was still in the process of developing her character and gaining experience when the promotion decided to move on. That said, being released does not necessarily mean the end of her wrestling journey.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>Several Other Names Released By WWE<\/h2>\n<p>Jasper Troy was one of the first names reported to have been released, with Wendy Choo, Adriana Rizzo, Zena Sterling, Braxton Cole, PJ Vasa, and others (Gary Wilson, Ellen Akesson, Marcus Brown) subsequently being added to the list.
