{"id":26162,"date":"2023-04-12T02:44:36","date_gmt":"2023-04-12T02:44:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sports.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/12\/bruins-set-regular-season-points-record-with-133-points\/"},"modified":"2023-04-12T02:44:36","modified_gmt":"2023-04-12T02:44:36","slug":"bruins-set-regular-season-points-record-with-133-points","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sports.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/12\/bruins-set-regular-season-points-record-with-133-points\/","title":{"rendered":"Bruins set regular season points record with 133 points"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"ac_72880121\">\n<div class=\"froala-view custom-theme first_text_block\">\n<p> The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yardbarker.com\/nhl\/teams\/boston_bruins\/97\" class=\"yard_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boston Bruins<\/a>\u2019 historic season continues as they have now set the National Hockey League\u2019s all-time regular season points record with 133 points.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>The previous record was held by the 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens, who posted 132 points that year and went on to win their second of four straight Stanley Cups during the Canadiens dynasty.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"ac_72880123\">\n<div class=\"froala-view custom-theme \">\n<p>Last month the Bruins became the fastest team in NHL history to 50 wins, then they earned their 63rd win of the season, setting the NHL record for most wins which was previously shared by the 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings and 2018-19 Tampa Bay Lightning.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They were crowned the unanimous Presidents Trophy winners, and now they\u2019ve added yet another accolade to their historic season after defeating the Washington Capitals 5-2 Tuesday evening.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Brad Marchand opened the scoring for his 21st of the season, while David Pastrnak added his 50th assist of the season.
