Chelsea<\/a> have been making fresh moves to sign AFC Bournemouth star Alex Scott ahead of the January transfer window.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It may be important for Xabi Alonso<\/a> to get a new central midfielder through the door this winter, having failed to bring in a direct replacement for Enzo Fernandez, which has forced Malo Gusto and Reece James to play in the middle of the park recently.<\/p>\n Gus Poyet<\/a> has made it clear Alonso needs a natural midfielder to return before too long, saying: \u201cChelsea, we need [Moises] Caicedo back as soon as possible. We need [Romeo] Lavia to be fit, we need Reece James to be fit.
