Everton<\/a> reportedly explored the possibility of signing VfB Stuttgart forward Ermedin Demirovic this summer, as per TEAMtalk<\/span><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Since moving to MHP Arena from FC Augsburg a couple of years ago, the 28-year-old has showcased his goal-scoring prowess in the German Bundesliga.<\/p>\n During his debut campaign, he made 21 goal contributions across all competitions. Last season, he scored 15 goals and registered four assists. Moreover, he helped his side qualify for the Champions League<\/a> by finishing fourth in the league.<\/p>\n Demirovic has even enjoyed a promising start this term, scoring four goals in as many appearances in all competitions. He helped his side beat Viking 3-1 by scoring a hat-trick in the opening Champions League fixture.<\/p>\n Having proven his worth in club football, the forward has secured his place in the Bosnia and Herzegovina squad.<\/p>\n Now, TEAMtalk<\/em> claim that Everton were interested in signing a new striker this summer, having sold Beto and held talks to learn about the details of signing Demirovic. Apart from the Toffees, Aston Villa<\/a> and Brighton and Hove Albion enquired about his availability.<\/p>\n On the other hand, Galatasaray were also in this race and launched a \u00a317m bid. However, Demirovic refused to leave Stuttgart, with the 28-year-old a key player for Sebastian Hoeness.<\/p>\n The report state that Demirovic wasn\u2019t the only name on Everton\u2019s wishlist, as they were also interested in Tammy Abraham, Folarin Balogun and Valentin Castellanos.<\/p>\n The Merseyside club even came very close to signing Balogun on deadline day before the deal fell through.
