In 2025, the Kansas City Current were the force that could not be reckoned with. The club had one of the best all-time seasons in the history of the National Women\u2019s Soccer League<\/strong><\/a>, riding a mighty defense and a formidable attack to a Shield berth and nearly 150% the points of the next-best squad. It seemed to be a validation of Angie and Chris Long\u2019s years-long investment since they bought the team in 2020 \u2014 an investment whose jewel was the purpose-built CPKC Stadium.<\/p>\n
