He put his gold on the line against Sami Zayn.<\/p>\n<p>CM Punk hurt his left knee early in the contest. Sami Zayn capitalized on the opening and began targeting The Second City Saint&#8217;s knee. However, Punk, being a crafty veteran, set his sights on The Master Strategist&#8217;s injured hand.<\/p>\n<p><template id=\"template__newsletter-inline-banner-form-combo-widget\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"wrapper\">\n<p><img id=\"subscribe-img\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\nThanks for the submission!\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<p>The duo engaged in a slow-paced, but hard-hitting match. At one point, Punk seemed set to defeat Zayn before <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/player\/johnny-gargano\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Johnny Gargano<\/a> and Candice LeRae showed up. While the referee was distracted, The Best in the World made Zayn tap out to the Anaconda Vice.<\/p>\n<p><template id=\"also-read-articles-template\"><\/p>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<p>Zayn was about to hit Punk with the Undisputed WWE Championship, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/player\/kevin-owens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Kevin Owens<\/a> arrived to stop him in his tracks. However, the plan backfired, as KO inadvertently hit The Second City Saint with the title.<\/p>\n<p>The Master Strategist took advantage of the mixup and delivered a vicious Helluva Kick to CM Punk.
