He regained his fitness well before the Afghanistan series and was named in the squad for the three-match affair, without his participation being subject to fitness.<\/p>\n<p>The mystery spinner made an impact on his comeback, bowling a tidy spell of 1-16 off his four overs in the series opener at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday, September 13. It remains to be seen whether the recent injury impacts the mystery spinner&#8217;s availability for the upcoming Asian Games 2026.<\/p>\n<h2>Varun Chakravarthy has been riddled with injuries since the end of the T20 World Cup 2026<\/h2>\n<p>The Tamil Nadu spinner&#8217;s first set of injuries took place during the I<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/go\/ipl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">ndian Premier League (IPL) 2026 <\/a>for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He hurt his finger while taking a catch and then also suffered a toe fracture later in the campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The injuries forced Varun Chakravarthy to miss the tour of Ireland, but he recovered in time for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/team\/england-cricket\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">England <\/a>tour.
