I\u2019ll be able to learn a lot from her and from the team to become a better stage racer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-4eb58e50-b05b-11f1-931b-19ac71931442\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"kiosq-b\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"analysis-3\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"kiosq-b\">Analysis<\/h2>\n<div class=\"slice-container person-wrapper slice-container-person kiosq-b\" data-component-name=\"Slice:Person\" id=\"elk-4eb58ec8-b05b-11f1-b225-47d5de8e5744\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<div class=\"person person--separator\">\n<div class=\"person__avatar-block\">\n<picture data-new-v2-image=\"true\"><source type=\"image\/webp\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net\/5d2CksSry8bfgFKS33vwFi-140-80.jpg.webp 140w\"\/>\n<\/picture>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"person__bio\">\n<p>Kerbaol is a brilliant addition to the SD Worx roster, which seems to have suffered somewhat of an exodus in recent weeks. <\/p>\n<p>With the departure of Marta Lach, Julia Kopeck\u00fd, Blanka Vas and Femke Markus, add in the retirement of influential road captain Lee Cecchini, and the team are certainly weakened, and while Kerbaol\u2019s arrival will not replace any of those riders, it is a positive step.<\/p>\n<p>Though SD Worx have been winning regularly, with the prolific Lorena Wiebes scoring most regularly, the team have been crying out for more climbing talent to ensure they can effectively compete in the three weeks races. <\/p>\n<p>Their ability in that regard suffered a huge blow at the end of 2024 when Demi Vollering, Marlen Reusser and Niamh Fisher-Black left en masse. Last year\u2019s recruitment of Nienke Vinke and Valentina Cavallar barely rectified their departure, both riders need further development.<\/p>\n<p>Kerbaol, on the other hand, might have plenty of room for improvement, but she is already a proven winner and should prove an asset to the team, taking pressure from Van der Breggen\u2019s shoulders.<\/p>\n<p>Stam is a past master of balancing riders\u2019 conflicting ambitions, but if SD Worx are to ensure they can reach the level they are clearly aiming for, they will need more firepower among their domestiques.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"elk-597583ba-b05e-11f1-9045-f75b0ab5ad83\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"kiosq-b\"><em><strong>For unbeatable coverage across road, gravel and tech, subscribe to Cyclingnews.
