On Saturday, November 14, Barcelona will welcome one of Spain\u2019s most impressive vertical races, drawing 100 professional firefighters and 300 amateur runners to participate.<\/p>\n
Torre Diagonal One, a workspace and events venue, will host the III Vertical Race Torre Diagonal One. The spectacular event will unfold in two formats: one for amateur runners and another reserved for professional firefighters with all their intervention gear.<\/p>\n
In the first format, a test specifically designed for professional firefighters, 100 firefighters from across Spain and Europe will have to climb to the 24th floor of Torre Diagonal One with all their E-2 + ERA intervention gear, totaling around 18.5 kilograms, including the full suit, gloves, helmet, air bottle, mask, back harness, and more\u2014a true challenge of overcoming limits to showcase the constant dedication firefighters bring to their daily work.<\/p>\n
Once the 100 professional firefighters have ascended to the rooftop, the popular race will begin, open to anyone who wishes to join.<\/p>\n
\nAll participants will face the great challenge of running up the 110 meters of vertical ascent to reach the 24th floor, where Barcelona Diagonal Sky\u2019s new rooftop is located, in the shortest possible time<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The registration for this exceptional date with Barcelona\u2019s sky will open on Monday, October 1. A perfect occasion to test our endurance and effort, and to enjoy the best views of the city from one of Spain\u2019s tallest towers.<\/p>\n
And don\u2019t miss the most fun vertical race: the 3rd edition of the Torre Diagonal One Vertical Race for children. A non-competitive test (everyone will participate with bib 1 and will receive a commemorative medal) featuring a two-floor ascent, to complete a morning where the little ones can enjoy the experience, with free registration at the race start area.<\/p>\n
