The top favourites for the upcoming Road World Championships<\/a> in Canada have all taken varied routes to Montreal, with a host of preparation races \u2013 including the Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a, the GPs de Montr\u00e9al and Qu\u00e9bec, and the men’s and women’s Tours of Britain \u2013 to choose from.<\/p>\n

Few of the big names have chosen the relatively low-key surroundings of the Tour de Luxembourg for their main build-up race, though 2023 world champion Mathieu van der Poel<\/a> is heading to one of Europe’s smallest countries to put the finishing touches on his Worlds prep.<\/p>\n
