Manaka Hayashi will be calling Italy her new home.<\/p>\n

The midfielder has been transferred from the Chicago Stars to Juventus FC in Italy\u2019s Serie A. The deal was made for an \u201cagreed upon fee,\u201d although the number has not been made public.<\/p>\n

According to Juventus<\/a>, Hayashi signed a three-year deal, through June 2029. <\/p>\n

\u201cMana is an incredibly dedicated and talented player, and we believe this move will be beneficial for her as she continues her development,\u201d Chicago Stars FC President Karen Leetzow said, via a press release. \u201cWe\u2019re grateful for her contributions to our club and we wish her the best in this new chapter in Italy as she continues to gain valuable experience in a new environment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hayashi, a Japanese international, joined the Stars in 2025, and has since made 25 starts in 38 appearances. She has recorded one assist, which occurred last year. Prior to joining the National Women\u2019s Soccer League<\/a><\/strong>, Hayashi featured for Kobe Leonessa in her native Japan, where she featured in two matches.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very grateful to Chicago for welcoming me when I got here,\u201d Hayashi said, via a press release. \u201cIt was my dream to play professionally in the U.S. since I started playing soccer and I have been so honored to be part of this team. I\u2019m proud of my teammates, all the staff, and fans who showed up no matter what. Thank you, Chicago.\u201d<\/p>\n

Born in Hy\u014dgo, Japan, the midfielder has made 11 appearances for the Japanese U-20 national team. She came to the United States in 2024, featuring collegiately for the Santa Clara Broncos for one year. She made nine appearances in 2024. <\/p>\n
