Rio Ngumoha<\/a> continues to look like one of the brightest young talents at Liverpool<\/a>, and some of Europe\u2019s biggest clubs are clearly paying attention.<\/p>\n

The winger only turned 18 in August, but has already delivered unforgettable moments.<\/p>\n

Ngumoha joined Liverpool from Chelsea in 2024 after establishing himself as one of the most exciting players in the London club\u2019s academy.<\/p>\n

His rise was quick, becoming Liverpool\u2019s youngest starter when he faced Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup at 16, before announcing himself in the Premier League<\/a> with a dramatic winner at Newcastle.<\/p>\n

That goal, scored deep into added time on his league debut, made Ngumoha the youngest goalscorer in Liverpool\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

He followed it by becoming the club\u2019s youngest Champions League player and later the youngest Red to score at Anfield.<\/p>\n

Those landmarks explain why Liverpool have such high hopes for him. Ngumoha is direct, confident in one-v-ones and willing to attack defenders whenever space opens up.<\/p>\n

He also looks suited to Andoni Iraola<\/a>\u2019s football.<\/p>\n

Liverpool\u2019s new head coach wants pace, intensity and bravery from his wide players, while his pressing demands require forwards who are prepared to run, and Ngumoha demonstrated that energy after starting Tuesday\u2019s 3-1 Carabao Cup victory over Tottenham.<\/p>\n

Iraola revealed afterwards that the youngster had given so much that he had little left when he was substituted.<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich explored a summer move, while RB Leipzig were also linked. Liverpool refused to entertain a sale and Ngumoha stayed, having signed his first professional contract in September 2025.<\/p>\n

Arsenal have now joined the list of admirers<\/a>, prompting David Ornstein to provide an update on the teenager\u2019s position.<\/p>\n

\u201cI heard Arsenal have some interest in him, but I guess we\u2019ll have to wait and see what happens with him and Liverpool because there is no suggestion he\u2019s unhappy there.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\u201cI reported over the summer that Ngumoha was actually Bayern Munich\u2019s top target at one point to strengthen in the wing position. They\u2019d done quite a lot of work on it, but it didn\u2019t develop. Liverpool had no interest in trading him.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

RB Leipzig were another club credited with interest. What will be really interesting is to see how much game time he gets at Liverpool, because wingers are the big thing for Andoni Iraola.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

His display against Tottenham was another reminder that he can handle the pressure of a massive occasion, but Liverpool will still need to manage the situation carefully.<\/p>\n

There is currently no indication that Ngumoha wants out, while Liverpool have made their position clear whenever interest has emerged.<\/p>\n

However, keeping a player of his ability happy will require more than simply rejecting bids, and Liverpool must show that he has a genuine route into Iraola\u2019s strongest side.<\/p>\n
