The Spanish athlete finished sixth and, in addition, set a new <strong>Spanish record for 5 kilometers with 14:59<\/strong>, improving by 12 seconds the previous national best, which had been held by Marta Dom\u00ednguez with 15:11.<\/p>\n<p>Garc\u00eda snatches another record away from Dom\u00ednguez, one of the most important athletes in the history of Spain and whose sporting career will always be associated with doping. Dom\u00ednguez still holds four Spanish records: the 10,000 meters, the outdoor 3,000 meters and the 3,000 meters obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>The world title went to the Ethiopian <strong>Likina Amebaw<\/strong>, who asserted her authority with a convincing 14:41.
