Members of the San Francisco 49ers<\/a> were flying high<\/a> after the club began the season with impressive back-to-back wins.\u00a0<\/p>\n However, it appears that the 49ers received a tough break ahead of their home game versus the 1-1 Arizona Cardinals<\/a> this coming Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n According to NFL<\/a> Network insider Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter<\/a>, 49ers\u00a0<\/span>star pass-rusher Nick Bosa<\/a>\u00a0“is expected to miss multiple weeks after suffering a calf injury in practice this week.” Rapoport and Schefter confirmed that Bosa will not play against the Cardinals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “It remains to be seen if [Bosa] will be placed on injured reserve,” Rapoport and Schefter added. Bosa would miss a minimum of four straight games while on IR.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Bosa had been attempting to reclaim his best form amid his return from the season-ending ACL tear he suffered on Sept. 21, 2025. More recently, he dealt with\u00a0<\/span><\/span>tendinitis<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0in his surgically repaired knee this past summer. While he\u00a0<\/span><\/span>played<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0in the 49ers’ first two games of the campaign, he did not record a sack in those contests.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Per\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Myles Simmons<\/span><\/span><\/a> of Pro Football Talk, Bosa has tallied seven total tackles with two tackles for loss and one QB hit this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n Throughout the summer, the 49ers were among the teams that were repeatedly linked with Las Vegas Raiders<\/a>\u00a0star pass-rusher\u00a0<\/span>Maxx Crosby<\/a>. One August report<\/a> hinted that the “framework” for a Crosby trade involving the 49ers and Raiders already existed. Additionally, it was hinted<\/a> shortly before the first Sunday of the regular season arrived that Crosby could welcome a move to an advertised contender before the Nov. 10 trade deadline.\u00a0<\/p>\n However, the situation presumably has changed now that the Raiders have won their first two games of the season. Crosby “never wanted<\/a> to leave” the Raiders, the team that drafted him in 2019, this past offseason, and Las Vegas seemingly could remain competitive through the fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n That said, whispers linking the Niners with Crosby could grow louder if the Raiders lose more than they win through the end of October.
