He will defend his title again at Grand Slam France against a top star. <\/p>\n<p>At All Out&#8217;s media scrum, Ospreay was asked who is likely to be the next challenger for this gold. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/aew\/news-do-f-king-step-us-will-ospreay-defiant-all-out-addresses-wwe-possibly-counter-programming-aew\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">The Aerial Assassin<\/a> had a clear answer. He wants AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada to challenge him for the World Title at Grand Slam France. The Rainmaker was right outside the room, and he instantly said &#8216;yes&#8217; to the World Champion&#8217;s offer. <\/p>\n<p>All Elite Wrestling&#8217;s official Instagram handle shared the video of this exchange. <\/p>\n<p><template id=\"also-read-articles-template\"><\/p>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;EXCLUSIVE: During the Post-#AEWAllOut Media Scrum, AEW World Champion @willospreay was asked who he believes is next in line to challenge for his championship. Ospreay had a very specific person in mind &#8230; who just happened to be right outside the room: @rainmakerxokada,&#8221; read the post&#8217;s caption. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/aew\/news-rain-in-chicago-kazuchika-okada-defeats-tommaso-ciampa-aew-all-out-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Okada<\/a> and Ospreay have a history from their time in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Their upcoming showdown has the potential to be one of the best wrestling matches of the year. <\/p>\n<p>AEW Grand Slam France will take place at Adidas Arena on Tuesday, October 6th. <\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>AEW star Will Ospreay said that he was never a WWE fan <\/h2>\n<p>In a recent interview with <em>Ariel Helwani<\/em>, Will Ospreay revealed that he was never a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/aew\/news-adam-copeland-drops-huge-wwe-reference-aew-all-out-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">WWE<\/a> fan. He said that he liked WCW, ECW, TNA, and Pro Wrestling NOAH while growing up and never felt the urge to watch World Wrestling Entertainment. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cI feel like I got into it just as WCW and ECW were about to be bought out. My dad bought ECW tapes; I used to watch it, but I was like forbidden. ECW was sick. After that, [WWE] just wasn\u2019t for me. I didn\u2019t like it. I didn\u2019t like the presentation behind it. I still have those feelings now. I found TNA, and that was a style that spoke to me. The X-Division was huge for me. Then, finding Pro Wrestling NOAH, Dragon Gate, and New Japan were the things that inspired me and made me want to be a pro wrestler. WWE has never really driven me,&#8221; he said.
