Becky Lynch is arguably one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of her generation, but one man saw immense potential in her before she became a household name in the industry.<\/p>\n
During the 2000s, Finn Balor<\/a> and Becky Lynch<\/a> were a couple when Lynch trained at Balor’s wrestling club in Ireland. Speaking on Cheap Heat<\/a>, Balor gave his honest opinion of the multi-time women’s champion and said he always saw potential in her, which is why she stood out like a sore thumb, even amongst the guys at his club.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/template><\/p>\n “I remember we had a small wrestling gym. And I say it was a wrestling gym. It was a wrestling club set up in a local school hall with a bunch of mats and there was probably about 30 guys wrestling there and one girl, and that was Becky. And I remember from the day she walked in, she kind of captivated everyone\u2019s attention. She stood out like a sore thumb with regards, like, to her potential or what her ceiling could be,” Balor said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n He added:<\/p>\n “I think everyone kind of felt that she had something about her that not many others had.
