Tottenham<\/a> Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt forward Younes Ebnoutalib, as per TEAMtalk<\/span><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After being impressed by the 23-year-old\u2019s performances for SV 07 Elversberg in the 2. Bundesliga, the Eagles decided to purchase him in January.<\/p>\n

Initially, he struggled to showcase his best at the Deutsche Bank Park due to injury problems before displaying impressive performances this campaign.<\/p>\n

In five appearances across all competitions, Ebnoutalib has netted five times and registered two assists. He even scored a hat-trick against Union Berlin in the opening league game of this season.<\/p>\n

The youngster\u2019s recent performances have attracted Jurgen Klopp<\/a>\u2019s attention, and the German boss has selected him in the national squad for the September\/October international fixtures.<\/p>\n

Now, TEAMtalk<\/em> claim that Tottenham have expressed their interest in signing Ebnoutalib after being impressed by his recent development and could make a formal approach next year.<\/p>\n

However, the Lilywhites will have to overcome stiff competition to seal the deal as Brighton and Hove Albion and Everton<\/a> have been monitoring his development closely before making a potential swoop.<\/p>\n

Ebnoutalib to Tottenham<\/h2>\n

Ebnoutalib is a 6ft 3in tall right-footed striker and still has a contract until 2031. So, Frankfurt are in a strong position to demand a sizable amount of money if they are forced to cash-in.<\/p>\n

He is quick, strong, good in the air, can link up the play and possesses the poacher\u2019s instinct inside the box. Moreover, he works hard without possession.<\/p>\n

Having endured a dire campaign over the last two seasons, Tottenham decided to reinforce the striker position by signing Omar Marmoush this summer.<\/p>\n

However, the Egyptian has started the new season poorly. Moreover, Roberto De Zerbi currently has Dominic Solanke and Richarlison as striker options.<\/p>\n

But De Zerbi has made it clear that the Brazilian won\u2019t play anymore this season, while Solanke has struggled to showcase his best since joining Spurs from AFC Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

Therefore, Tottenham could do with signing a new striker, and Ebnoutalib would be a shrewd acquisition if he continues to impress over the coming months.<\/p>\n

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually make a concrete approach to secure the Frankfurt star\u2019s services in January or next summer.<\/p>\n
