Manchester United<\/a> have shortlisted Borussia Dortmund\u2019s Daniel Svensson among their left-back targets, with Crystal Palace\u2019s Tyrick Mitchell, Club Brugge\u2019s Joaquin Seys and Barcelona<\/a>\u2019s Alejandro Balde being added as alternatives, as per TEAMtalk<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n There was a growing belief last summer that United were going to sign a new left-back. The departure of Tyrell Malacia as a free agent further heightened their need to sign a new fullback, but the club closed business after bolstering their midfield with three new additions.<\/p>\n To their credit, they were linked with several left-back options and even made enquiries over a deadline-day move for Manchester City\u2019s Rayan Ait-Nouri<\/a>.<\/p>\n Now, five games into the Premier League<\/a> season, questions are being raised over whether it was the right decision not to sign someone in that position.<\/p>\n The club have looked vulnerable in that area despite having Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu as well as the versatile Noussair Mazraoui as available options, and it\u2019s no surprise they\u2019re now looking to reinforce there in 2027.<\/p>\n According to TEAMtalk<\/em>, United are considering whether to fast-track their efforts to sign a new left-back in January and are keeping tabs on several options.<\/p>\n One of the left-back options United are looking at is Dortmund\u2019s Svensson, as per the report, which claims that Michael Carrick\u2019s side have placed the 24-year-old on their radar ahead of a possible move.<\/p>\n In a previous report<\/a>, TEAMtalk<\/em> revealed that the Red Devils have formally entered the race to sign the Swedish international from Dortmund, who have placed a \u00a330-39m valuation on their key player.<\/p>\n However, in a recent interview on SVT Sport<\/a>, the Swede was questioned about interest from top Premier League clubs but revealed nothing has materialised as of yet<\/p>\n He said, \u2018I saw something about it. But I haven\u2019t heard anything more about [it]. Of course, it can be fun to read.<\/em><\/p>\n \u2018There was nothing concrete, and I had not heard anything more than what was in the newspaper.
