He also bowls left-arm orthodox spin and has taken three wickets in four innings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His senior T20 experience is extremely limited as well. However, he offered an early glimpse of his ability by smashing an unbeaten 45 from 31 balls and contributing with the ball in his first senior T20 appearance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These numbers alone aren\u2019t enough to explain a R2.9 million investment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But franchises scouting an 18-year-old aren\u2019t necessarily buying him for what his senior record looks like today. Vaibhav averaged <strong>62.7<\/strong>, compared with Rowles\u2019 <strong>70<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That doesn\u2019t mean Rowles should automatically be considered better than Vaibhav. Their roles, innings and circumstances were different. But it provides important context to the hype surrounding Rowles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same tournament where Vaibhav was attracting enormous attention as one of world cricket\u2019s most exciting young players, Rowles was also being hyped as one of the standout talents of his generation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And Rowles offered something extra with the ball. His left-arm orthodox spin produced four wickets during the tournament, adding another dimension to his game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He has shown his immense potential even in the longer format, scoring a <strong>double century against England U19<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So when franchises evaluate Rowles, they aren\u2019t simply seeing a batter with a List A average of 21.80.
