Manchester United<\/a> legend Teddy Sheringham has urged his old club to sign Brighton and Hove Albion forward Charalampos Kostoulas.<\/strong><\/p>\n After being impressed by the 19-year-old\u2019s performances for Olympiacos, the Seagulls decided to purchase him last year. He featured as a rotational option in his debut campaign at AMEX Stadium, making three goal contributions across all competitions.<\/p>\n However, following Danny Welbeck\u2019s departure this summer, the Greek has featured regularly this season. In six games in all tournaments, he has made four goal contributions.<\/p>\n After showing glimpses of his qualities in the English top-flight, the youngster secured his place in the Greek national team for the September\/October international fixtures.<\/p>\n Now, during a recent interview, Sheringham states (via TEAMtalk<\/span><\/a>) that Kostoulas displayed impressive performances against Arsenal<\/a> and has started showing signs that he could become a \u00a3100m striker in the future.<\/p>\n He can lead the line, is good in the air, is efficient in finishing off his chances, and is comfortable with possession. So, Man Utd should sign him to reinforce the frontline.<\/p>\n Sheringham said:<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, to get a result against Arsenal you have to be on top of your game, and everyone in that Brighton team was on the top of their game that day, but for me it was all about the centre-forward, Charalampos Kostoulas. Wow. What a player, and the goals he\u2019s scoring too!<\/p>\n \u201cI look at Charalampos Kostoulas and I see a striker who is a proper leader of the line. He will be the next \u00a3100 million plus player at Brighton who moves on somewhere else. He already looks on his way to being a \u00a3100 million player, without a shadow of a doubt. Should Michael Carrick and Manchester United be getting on the phone to Brighton? Without a doubt.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Man Utd currently have Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee as specialist striker options. However, Sesko has struggled with fitness problems in recent months.<\/p>\n On the other hand, Zirkzee has found it difficult to adapt to the Premier League<\/a>\u2019s physicality since joining from Bologna a couple of years ago.<\/p>\n\n
