Stephanie Vaquer‘s Women’s World Championship reign didn’t last long, as she lost the title at WWE Money in the Bank 2026. Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch were part of a triple threat match at MITB, which ended when the Miracle Kid pinned La Primera to become the new champion.

Although Morgan winning the title back has sparked mixed reactions online, many are wondering why Vaquer lost the championship just weeks after winning it at a live event. In this article, we will discuss three possible explanations for why Stephanie lost the title at the New Orleans PLE.

Thanks for the submission!

</template>

STEPHANIE VAQUER LEFT IN TEARE AFTER LOSING HER WORLD TITLE 💔 #MITB

</template>

With La Primera no longer the Women’s World Champion, she has to decide her next direction on Monday Night RAW. Triple H taking the title off Vaquer might be a strategic attempt to turn the 33-year-old star heel.

The beloved star may turn heel out of frustration over losing the gold and could unleash her true colors on the red brand. This could establish her as a strong villainous character on Monday Night RAW.

Additionally, it would lead to some new feuds and fresh storylines ahead of Crown Jewel and Survivor Series: WarGames 2026.

Liv Morgan lost the title to Stephanie Vaquer at a live event, and it immediately received a positive response from the WWE Universe. Fans were happy that Morgan’s horrible title reign had ended and that Vaquer was finally getting pushed on the red brand.

Now, as Vaquer took the title from the Miracle Kid, it suggests the Chief Content Officer was merely using La Primera to grab fans’ attention and set up this triple threat match at Money in the Bank.

The Game may never have had plans to give Vaquer a lengthy title reign and may have given her the title only to put it back on Liv Morgan’s shoulders at MITB.

Tiffany Stratton is the 2026 Ms. MITB winner, and Liv Morgan becoming the champion hints that WWE is clueless about the Women’s Division. This could be why they initially put the title on Stephanie Vaquer without having any proper plans.

Now, they took the title from her and gave it to Morgan again because they weren’t sure what to do next with La Primera as WWE Women’s Champion. This might be another reason behind her title loss at the recent premium live event.

Get all the hottest wrestling news FIRST by clicking here
