Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), in association with T Ten Global Sports, has unveiled the country\u2019s eagerly awaited franchise-based T10 tournament that is aiming to feature cricket stars from across the world.<\/p>\n
The inaugural edition of the new competition, known as the\u00a0Zim\u00a0Afro T10, will be played in August this year, with six privately-owned teams involved.<\/p>\n
The participating franchises, player auction dates, fixtures and other details will be announced in due course.<\/p>\n
This is the latest T10 tournament to be established by T Ten Global Sports, the same company behind the\u00a0Abu Dhabi T10 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)\u00a0and the\u00a0Lanka\u00a0T10\u00a0in Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n
ZC Chairman\u00a0Tavengwa\u00a0Mukuhlani\u00a0said he was confident the league would provide great fans entertainment, top-level competition for the players and vast exposure for investors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

T Ten Global Sports Founder and Chairman\u00a0Mr Nawab\u00a0ShajiUl Mulk\u00a0\u2013 the UAE-based investor behind the state-of-the-art\u00a0Zim\u00a0Cyber-City real estate project that is being developed in Mount Hampden on the outskirts of Harare \u2013 said he was excited to be bringing the magic of T10 cricket to Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n
