Five-time champions Mumbai Indians will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they take on rivals Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede. Although Mumbai’s influential skipper Rohit Sharma has endured a tough time in IPL 2023<\/strong><\/a>, star Aussie all-rounder Cameron Green has backed his skipper ahead of the high-profile clash.<\/p>\n

Mumbai’s skipper Rohit Sharma, who is the most successful captain in IPL’s history, is amidst a lean patch with the bat in the ongoing 16th edition of the tournament. The veteran Indian opener succumbed for a duck against Chennai Super Kings, his second successive duck in the tournament, in his last outing.<\/p>\n

Despite his poor run with the bat, his teammate Cameron Green has given his vote of confidence for his skipper, stating that the franchise is backing the flamboyant opener all the way. Green has all the faith in the batting icon and feels he will come good for the team in the upcoming matches.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know the allegiance of Rohit with Mumbai Indians and everything that he has done in his career. So, we absolutely back him. He can come back and perform for us, he has batted beautifully in a few games, showing really good tempo on the top. So, we back Rohit all the way,\u201d Green said at a press interaction ahead of their game against RCB.<\/p>\n

Mumbai takes on Faf du Plessis’ RCB<\/strong><\/a> in their upcoming encounter with both teams stuck on ten points after playing ten matches each. Green feels that the players will have learned their lesson from the previous ten matches and will be ruthless in all departments of the game to ensure victory in the upcoming matches.<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully everything we learned in the first 10 games holds us in good stead for the rest of the season, that\u2019s going to be ruthless where if you win a game you\u2019re second and if you lose, you\u2019re second last. We have to put our best performances out there and we have an incredible team when we perform, so we\u2019re going to back ourselves,\u201d added Green.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
