Chelsea will sack Graham Potter if they fail to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, according to former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor.<\/p>\n
The Blues beat Bournemouth 2-0 on Tuesday night<\/strong><\/a>, thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, with Potter\u2019s men remaining in eighth position but closing the gap on fourth to six points.<\/p>\n It came as welcome relief for Chelsea after losing their last three Premier League matches before the World Cup break with Potter breaking a run of five matches without a win.<\/p>\n But Agbonlahor thinks it is \u201cunacceptable\u201d for Chelsea to be in the position they are in after 15 matches of the season and has been surprised that \u201cthey don\u2019t look like finishing in the top six let alone the top four\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I look at that game, I think before you would\u2019ve expected a Chelsea win, and that\u2019s what we got,\u201d Agbonlahor told talkSPORT<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThey looked sharp, they looked up for the game.<\/p>\n \u201cBut if you said before the game \u2018Chelsea are going to win 2-0\u2019 you\u2019d be like \u2018yeah that\u2019s about right\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n Agbonlahor added: \u201cBut for Chelsea that was a must win. If you look at the table, they\u2019re 16 points behind Arsenal. That is unacceptable. To be 16 points behind Arsenal.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you look at the top four at the moment, they\u2019re six points behind Spurs, Fulham are two points behind them.<\/p>\n \u201cYesterday was a must win because if they didn\u2019t, they don\u2019t look like finishing in the top six let alone the top four.<\/p>\n \u201cThe pressure is on for these teams, because\u00a0Newcastle aren\u2019t going anywhere, Brighton aren\u2019t going anywhere, to get in the top four this season is a massive achievement for every team besides maybe Manchester City. It\u2019s crazy.\u201d<\/p>\n And Agbonlahor reckons Potter will be \u201csacked\u201d by Chelsea owner Todd Boehly at the end of the season if they don\u2019t finish in the top four of the Premier League.<\/p>\n \u201cA club like Chelsea, with this owner they\u2019ve got, \u2018fifth or sixth?\u2019 it\u2019s not going to happen,\u201d Agbonlahor continued.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a sackable offence. I feel like you\u2019re getting sacked if you don\u2019t finish in the top four for Chelsea, Graham Potter.\u201d<\/p>\n Havertz thinks it\u2019s a \u201ccrucial\u201d set of fixtures coming up for Chelsea as they face Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Liverpool in their next five Premier League matches.<\/p>\n \u201cI was delighted to score but the main thing was to get the win and that\u2019s huge for us,\u201d Germany frontman Havertz told the club website.<\/p>\n \u201cThe win and the goals will hopefully give us confidence going forward.
