Jude Bellingham has produced a stunning double to snatch Real Madrid a 2-1 comeback victory at Barcelona in his first La Liga Clasico.<\/p>\n

The England international, who has started his Madrid career in remarkable goalscoring form, unleashed a rocket into the top corner from distance after Ilkay Gundogan had sent hosts Barcelona ahead at the Olympic Stadium.<\/p>\n

Bellingham then fired home a second in stoppage time to silence Barcelona fans and reach 10 goals in the top flight this season.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s started in just the right way, we\u2019re all very happy with his performance, his personality, his way of being,\u201d Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric told Real Madrid TV.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not luck that he\u2019s adapted so well because he\u2019s a top kid and he\u2019s scoring a lot of goals, I think that even he can\u2019t believe it.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations to him for all that he is doing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barcelona hit the woodwork twice and had the better of the game but Bellingham, La Liga\u2019s top goalscorer, is in unstoppable form and inevitably made his mark in his first Clasico.<\/p>\n

Bellingham\u2019s brace sent Madrid to the top of La Liga, ahead of Girona on goal difference, with both teams four points ahead of Barcelona in third.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe seems like a veteran \u2026 the goal to level it totally changed the game,\u201d Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said of his 20-year-old match-winner.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat was surprising today was his shot, he\u2019s always arriving in the box, today he scored a stupendous goal from in front of the area.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bellingham has now scored 13 goals in 13 games for Real Madrid across all competitions, surpassing Zinedine Zidane\u2019s highest single-season Real tally (12).<\/p>\n

\u201cHe can get to 20 or 25 goals, because he has started very well,\u201d added Ancelotti.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t have it in our heads that he\u2019s a goalscoring striker, we have in our heads that he\u2019s a very important player for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Modric said Madrid\u2019s comeback win over Barcelona was exactly the type of victory which the club cherished.<\/p>\n

\u201c(It was) pure Real Madrid DNA, believing until the end, never giving up,\u201d added the Croatian, who made his 500th appearance for the club as a substitute at the Olympic Stadium.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very happy to represent this club so many times, my 500th game and against a huge opponent, in the Clasico, to get to this number and win the game \u2014 you can\u2019t ask for more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barcelona could not believe the points had slipped out of their hands after a strong performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe summary is simple, we had 60 very good minutes where we scored a goal, they had 20 to 25 minutes and they scored two,\u201d said coach Xavi.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Madrid\u2019s victory today is unjust \u2026 they were much more efficient than us, that is the big difference.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barcelona were boosted by the returns of Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde and Raphinha from injury, with Xavi naming them on the bench.<\/p>\n

His counterpart Ancelotti once again deployed Bellingham in the number 10 role as he got his first taste of arguably the world\u2019s biggest club football match.<\/p>\n

However it was another midfielder playing for the first time in the Clasico who broke the deadlock: Barcelona\u2019s summer arrival Gundogan.<\/p>\n

The former Manchester City man was sharpest when Aurelien Tchouameni intercepted Ferran Torres\u2019 pass, diverting it back into his own area.<\/p>\n

David Alaba tried to clear but was thoroughly unconvincing and Gundogan read his intentions, hopped onto the ball and swept past Kepa Arrizabalaga in the sixth minute.<\/p>\n

Fermin Lopez, one of the emerging young Barcelona La Masia academy products who has broken into the first team, slapped a shot against the post after the intense Gavi pressed high to win the ball back.<\/p>\n

Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger hammered wide from nearly 40 yards out as Madrid were held off by the hosts, with winger Vinicius Junior getting into tangles with Gavi and Ronald Araujo, deployed at right-back to try and shackle him.<\/p>\n

After Araujo barged the Brazilian, he protested, with Xavi telling him it was just a shoulder charge, although the Barcelona coach could not defend Torres\u2019 rugby tackle on Vinicius just before half-time, which earned him a yellow card.<\/p>\n

Gavi, Gundogan and Lopez controlled the midfield, with Joao Cancelo\u2019s more advanced position allowing Barcelona additional defensive security.<\/p>\n

Barcelona struck the woodwork again when Inigo Martinez headed Lopez\u2019s inch-perfect cross against the post.<\/p>\n

Madrid were reduced to long-range efforts but eventually one ripped into the net to level the score, with just over 20 minutes remaining.<\/p>\n

Marc-Andre ter Stegen could not keep out Bellingham\u2019s blast, pulling Madrid level in a game they had struggled to find a foothold in.<\/p>\n

With the game heading towards a draw, Bellingham intervened decisively \u2014 in the right place at the right time to shoot through Ter Stegen\u2019s legs after Luka Modric diverted Dani Carvajal\u2019s cross into his path.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not someone who evaluates the opposition team, he scored two goals, he did it for Real Madrid and he changed the game,\u201d Ter Stegen told DAZN.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had it, the game, going in our favour and we didn\u2019t know how to keep it that way.\u201d<\/p>\n
