In a recent update, the Bangladesh cricket team faced a tough choice on Friday to ensure the well-being of their players in light of the serious air pollution in Delhi. The team traveled to Delhi for their next game against Sri Lanka set to be played on November 6 but due to the abrupt environment, they had to cancel the practice.<\/p>\n
Initially, the team was looking for three training sessions at Arun Jaitley Stadium, with the first one set for Friday evening. However, due to disturbing air quality, they had to cancel the plan.<\/p>\n
The air quality index in different areas of the city surpassed 400, prompting the government to declare an air emergency. Consequently, schools were shut for a period of two days, and limitations were enforced on construction activities and vehicular traffic.<\/p>\n
Team Director Khaled Mahmud said, \u201cWe actually had a training session today, but due to worsening conditions, we didn\u2019t take the chance. We have two more training days. Some of us developed coughing, so there\u2019s a risk factor. We don\u2019t want to get sick. We don\u2019t know if things will improve, but we have training tomorrow. We want all the players to be fit for the important game coming up on November 6.\u201d<\/p>\n \n
