India and Netherlands<\/a> locked horns in the 45th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023<\/strong> at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, November 12. India won the toss and elected to bat first, setting the stage for a formidable innings.<\/p>\n India\u2019s top order displayed a magnificent performance, laying a solid foundation for a massive total. Shreyas Iyer<\/a>\u2018s spectacular knock of 128 runs off 94 balls, including 10 fours and 5 sixes, was the highlight of the innings. KL Rahul<\/strong> contributed significantly with a blazing century, scoring 102 off 64 balls, adorned with 11 fours and 4 sixes. Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, <\/strong>and Virat Kohli<\/strong> also smashed valuable half-centuries.<\/p>\n The Netherlands bowlers struggled to contain the Indian batsmen, with Bas de Leede<\/strong> being the most successful bowler, taking 2 wickets for 82 runs in his 10 overs. Despite their efforts, India posted a formidable total of 410\/4 in their 50 overs.<\/p>\n Facing a challenging target, the Netherlands batsmen fought hard, but the Indian bowlers proved too formidable. Teja Nidamanuru<\/strong> provided resistance with a brilliant half-century, scoring 54 runs off 39 balls, including 6 sixes. However, the rest of the batting order struggled against the disciplined Indian bowling attack.<\/p>\n Jasprit Bumrah<\/strong>, Mohammed Siraj<\/strong>,\u00a0Kuldeep Yadav <\/strong>and Ravindra Jadeja<\/strong> were the pick of the Indian bowlers, sharing wickets and applying pressure on the Netherlands. The Dutch team ultimately fell short, posting a total of 250\/10 in 47.5 overs.<\/p>\n India won by 160 runs.<\/p>\n Shreyas Iyer\u2019s outstanding century, anchoring India\u2019s innings and setting the tone for victory, earned him the well-deserved Player of the Match award.
