Massive update on Chris Jericho’s return at Royal Rumble 2026

Chris Jericho is still heavily expected to make a return at the Royal Rumble PLE. His AEW contract expired last month, and he has been a free agent since then. Just hours ahead of the WWE Royal Rumble show in Saudi Arabia, there is a massive update on Y2J’s status.

The former AEW World Champion is still on the AEW active roster list. Notably, his contract expired with the company last month, and he should have moved to the alumni section by now. Therefore, this might suggest that The Learning Tree might not return to WWE at the Royal Rumble.

But only time will tell what will happen to Chris Jericho down the line. If he comes back at Royal Rumble, it would be a massive surprise for the all the fans of the professional wrestling.
