Mercedes Mone is not only one of the dominant AEW stars but also has an attractive personality. This led to The CEO to make a wild confession when a huge question was thrown at her.
The former RAW Women’s Champion has been on a hiatus from All Elite Wrestling. This came following the end of her record-setting reign as the TBS Champion at the hands of Willow Nightingale at the Dynamite: New Year’s Smash episode, and being embarrassed by her and her allies. Mone decided to take a break to rejuvenate herself and promised to come back stronger than ever.
She recently made an appearance on the February 16, 2026, episode of We Playin’ Spades alongside Mina Shirakawa. When host Nick Cannon asked if men fetishize her, Mercedes Mone did not dodge and gave an honest response.

Mercedes Mone believes fans cannot separate wrestling persona from the real person
In the same episode, Mercedes Mone stated that fans often think the on-screen character is her true self and said that they live in a 24/7 fantasy world. The Ultimo Mone also added that due to her larger-than-life persona, she does not get the opportunity to show the person behind the wrestling gimmick.
“I don’t think people understand that at all in, um, the line of work that I do. Because wrestling, um, is like living a 24/7 fantasy world—not only for wrestlers but for wrestling fans. So people don’t know who Mercedes Varnado is because I don’t—I don’t get the opportunity to show them. That’s not who they get to see on TV. It’s someone that’s totally different than what my wrestling character is.”- H/T Ringside News
Furthermore, The CEO is set to make her return to wrestling, but outside AEW. So, it remains to be seen when the fans could see her back in an All Elite Wrestling ring.
