Recently departed WWE star makes shocking AEW claim

A former WWE star made some bold comments about AEW. He shared his opinion about the company’s performance and image in the world of professional wrestling.

The star in question is none other than former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa. The 40-year-old star left WWE in January following a decent run with the promotion. In the same month, The Psycho Killer went on to join All Elite Wrestling to add a new chapter in his career. Recently, he talked about his time in AEW over the past month while heavily praising the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Speaking with 9News, Ciampa said that he believes AEW is doing an amazing job as one of the biggest promotions in wrestling today. He claimed that there is no other company that performs like AEW and its talents. The former NXT Champion said that the atmosphere and the presence of the fans are totally amazing, indicating it to be a prime reason why he joined the company in the first place.

“All Elite Wrestling is like nothing else on this planet, especially live. Live pro wrestling is unparalleled, and what they’re doing right now, what we’re doing right now at All Elite is just incredible. The crowds, the atmosphere, it’s just there’s a little bit of something for everybody between Toni Storm and Willow Nightingale and Orange Cassidy. We get a good mix of every kind of genre of pro wrestling. It’s just been a blast so far,” said Ciampa. [H/T: Fightful]

Tommaso Ciampa reveals how AEW felt to him

Tommaso Ciampa’s AEW debut was a big thing last month in the industry. The former NXT Champion’s arrival kicked off a wild chapter in the All Elite Wrestling, and the fans were excited to see him perform in Tony Khan‘s company. Recently, The Psycho Killer reacted to his AEW debut.

Speaking with 98.5 KYGO, Ciampa said that he felt a sort of burden on him before he made his debut. The 40-year-old star added that when the crowd reacted perfectly to his entrance, he felt magical. As per Tommaso, that feeling set him free in the arena, which made things even more comfortable for him in the ring.

That was a big burden taken off the shoulders the moment, not the music hit, because no one knew when the music hit, right? But the moment the name flashed and the lights came up, because you just don’t know, you know, as the performer. Everything about that night, that day, the whole week was just magical,” said Ciampa.
