It was not easy, but the No. 19 Miami (Ohio) RedHawks had themselves a historic Friday night. Their 110-108 overtime win against Ohio completed a perfect 31-0 regular season performance, while also giving the program its 1,500th all-time win.
Miami is the 25th team since 1948 to finish with a perfect regular season record.
It is only the fifth unbeaten regular season since 1985.
Even with perfect record, Miami (Ohio) is still facing pressure
While it is by far the most successful regular season in the history of the program, this team has no time to sit back, relax and reflect on what it has done so far. Even with 31 consecutive wins, the RedHawks still probably have to win the MAC Conference tournament to earn a spot in the NCAA tournament.
They have done nothing but win this season. They have to keep doing it just to remove all doubt.
