Manchester United are working hard to convince Ayyoub Bouaddi to join the club this summer after scheduling a meeting with the midfielder.
Man Utd schedule talks with Bouaddi
It’s no secret that the Red Devils are on the hunt for midfield reinforcements this summer. With Casemiro heading for the exit door, despite recent form suggesting that he’s still got a lot left in the tank, and Manuel Ugarte likely following suit, Man United are ready to rebuild in the middle of the park.
Names such as Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali very much remain at the forefront of their thinking, but competition from Premier League rivals could yet force INEOS to look elsewhere this summer.
If Manchester City swoop in to land Anderson ahead of those at Old Trafford, then their focus could turn towards instant alternatives in the coming months.
According to journalist Abdellah Boulma, Man United are ‘ramping up’ efforts to sign Bouaddi this summer.
INEOS will even deploy Sir Alex Ferguson to convince the LOSC Lille star to join, and have scheduled a meeting with his entourage.
The 18-year-old is one of the best young midfielders around and, as such, has already attracted plenty of interest from around Europe. It’s why Man United are already keen to use every weapon in their arsenal to land his signature, including the lure of Ferguson.
“World-class” Bouaddi is ready for Man Utd move
On paper, signing an 18-year-old to solve midfield problems may sound like a risk. Bouaddi, however, is a rare case. The teenager has already got 93 senior appearances to his name at Lille and is an undeniable mainstay in their best side. He is absolutely ready to complete a big move this summer.
Man United fans, would you take signing Ayyoub Bouaddi over both Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson this summer? Comment below!
Dubbed “world-class” by talent scout Jacek Kulig, it’s easy to see why Man United are interested in Bouaddi. The Lille star has won more duels than Tonali this season and completed more dribbles, despite his tender age.
Whilst he’s still come way off Anderson’s level, winning far fewer duels and recovering possession at a lower level, Bouaddi would be a better signing than Tonali in both the short and long-term.
Man Utd identify “unreal” Premier League manager as main candidate to replace Carrick
INEOS are eyeing a Michael Carrick alternative.
If Ferguson can roll back the years and convince the £52m star to join the club, then the Red Devils could solve their midfield problem.
