GOUT GOUT OPENS ACCOUNT AT “BANK OF GREATNESS” WITH U20 WORLD RECORD – Athletics News

18 year old Gout Gout set a new world U20 reord in Australia after clocking a historic 19.67 seconds on a +1.7 wind. This impressive display propeled Gout to the men’s 200m title at the 2026 Australian Athletics Championships in Sydney.

This performance by Gout is being touted as one of the most significant in the history of junior sprinting.

His 19.67s time officially breaks the World U20 record of 19.69s previously held by American Erriyon Knighton. Conversely this time is significantly faster than Usain Bolt’s personal best at the same age, which was 19.93s.

Gout Gout has also smashed the long-standing Oceanian and Australian record of 20.06s set by Peter Norman at the 1968 Olympics.

As it stands currently this marks as the fastest time in the world for the 2026 season.

Fore the teenage sensation the bank of greatness seems to have opened a current acount under his name.
