The San Diego Wave keep rolling
It took 63 minutes for San Diego to solve the Boston Legacy’s low block on Friday night. Teenage wonder Kimmi Ascanio laid off a slicing ball to the run of Ludmila who netted her first goal since September. The Wave remain at the top of the table and are riding a franchise-best four-match winning streak. Their only defeat came against Houston in the first match of the season. They also lead the league in Expected Goals (10.7), points gained from a losing position (13), goal difference (+5), shots (80), and shots on target (37), per Opta. The good times could keep coming, as record signing Catarina Macario has yet to even lace up her boots for her hometown club.
