    Perfect Crown- When will episodes 5-6 release and what to expect

    Episodes 3 and 4 of Perfect Crown aired on MBC TV on April 17 and 18, 2026. The series continues its weekly run every Friday and Saturday at 9:40 pm (KST), with episodes 5 and 6 scheduled for April 24 and 25. Directed by Park Joon-hwa and Bae Hee-young, the drama stars IU, Byeon Woo-seok, Noh Sang-hyun, and Gong Seung-yeon.

    The narrative follows Sung Hui-ju, an illegitimate heiress striving to rise above societal prejudice, and Grand Prince I-an, a royal weighed down by his position. Their paths cross as they enter a contract marriage.

    This is seen leading him to suggest a breakup, which makes Hui-ju furious. She urges him to stop yielding to others and instead protect what he truly wants. When he criticizes her for never compromising, she counters that standing firm could benefit them both and help them achieve their goals.

    At the same time, Prime Minister Min Jeong-woo ks seen proposing marriage to Hui-ju, adding another layer of conflict. As Hui-ju and I-an appear to grow closer despite mounting pressure, the episode is expected to focus on their shifting dynamic, I-an’s internal struggle and the intensifying oppose from the Queen Dowager.

    Perfect Crown episodes 3-4 recap: Public romance, palace backlash, and a shocking crash leave I-an injured

    Episode 3 of Perfect Crown begins with the two agreeing to marry and arriving at the palace together, confirming their relationship in front of the media. Inside, Queen Dowager Yoon Yi-rang opposes the match and rejects Hui-ju for being a commoner.

    But both I-an and Hui-ju stand firm. To make their relationship believable, they decide to act deeply in love. They spend the night together in his chambers. Next morning, Hui-ju appears in the same clothes and leaves in a royal car for work, fueling rumors and public speculation.

    Online reactions grow, with many questioning her motives. Some claim she is manipulating I-an. The situation escalates when fangirls attack her with eggs. At home, her father lashes out and blames her for his wife’s death. He calls her greedy and criticizes her for demanding equal treatment with his legitimate son but Hui-ju refuses to back down.

    Later, I-an checks on her after hearing her distress. Despite being punished with excessive work by Yoon Yi-rang, he visits her with food and moves her to his private residence for safety. Meanwhile, Yoon Yi-rang accuses Hui-ju of starting a fire in the king’s chamber and orders an investigation. Palace officials search her belongings and office before taking her for questioning.

    Hui-ju sends her secretary with I-an’s hopae to summon him from. He arrives at the palace and questions the authority behind the interrogation and confront Yoon Yi-rang. During the confrontation, Hui-ju pretends to collapse and is caught by I-an.

    He rushes her to his chambers, calling for a doctor and later sends her home while staying back to complete his duties. Gossip about the moment spreads across the palace and strengthens public sympathy for them, unsettling Yoon Yi-rang.

    Meanwhile, Hui-ju asks for Prime Minister Min Jeong-woo’s help in marrying I-an. Min Jeong-woo, who has feelings for her, hopes for their separation. Later, Hui-ju visits him with soup and meets him secretly across a palace wall. After noticing a camera, I-an kisses her to reinforce their image. The photo spreads quickly creating a national buzz leading the ministers to summon I-an.

    At the council meeting, the ministers oppose the relationship due to Hui-ju’s background. But I-an is determined and argues that he must take responsibility for kissing her. Min Jeong-woo then proposes a compromise where the relationship can continue without any commitment to marriage. Though reluctantly I-an agrees, Hui-ju is dissatisfied.

    To maintain public attention, they later attend a baseball game together drawing cheering from the crowd. Meanwhile, a lady in waiting begin training Hui-ju in royal etiquette. Through her she learns about I-an’s life, the tragedies he has suffered and promises to be by his side.

    One day the king visits I-an’s residence with Jeong-woo and running into Hui-ju spends time with her. After playing games, he demands a ride in her sports car. Despite objections from everyone, he remains firm leaving her no choice but to agree with the king. During the drive however, the brake of her car suddenly fails making her lose control.

    As the car speeds out of control, I-an intervenes and blocks her path with his own car. The collision stops the vehicle, saving both Hui-ju and the king but leaving I-an injured. As Hui-ju watches in shock, him stepping out of his car with blood running down on his face, episode 4 of Perfect Crown ends.
