The World Health Organization (WHO) has sparked speculation among ENHYPEN fans after teasing a new collaboration for World Blood Donor Day. On June 8, 2026 WHO shared a post on X announcing that six “familiar faces” would be joining its World Blood Donor Day campaign, which takes place annually on June 14.
The organization also released an image showing the silhouettes of six men standing side by side. While no names were revealed, the teaser quickly caught the attention of fans online.
Many ENGENEs (ENHYPEN fandom name) began speculating that the silhouettes belonged to the ENHYPEN members. The theory gained traction due to the group’s recent involvement in blood donation campaigns and its public advocacy for the cause.
Earlier this year, ENHYPEN partnered with the Korean Red Cross during promotions for their album THE SIN: VANISH. The campaign encouraged fans to donate blood and share their participation online.
It was designed around the group’s well-known vampire-themed concept. The campaign included blood donation drives at designated centers and mobile donation buses operating near music show appearances, showcases, HYBE’s Yongsan headquarters and the group’s concert venues.
The members also personally promoted the initiative. They revealed that they had donated blood themselves and repeatedly encouraged fans to participate. More recently, on May 23, the group’s leader Yang Jung-won aka Jungwon shared during a Weverse live broadcast that he would avoid getting additional piercings because doing so could affect his ability to donate blood.
“We can’t just let only engene donate blood. It’s for a good cause, so we also want to do it. That’s why we’re not piercing our ears right now,” said the singer.
So, given the K-pop group’s history with blood donation campaigns, many fans believe the group could be the mystery act featured in WHO’s teaser. The announcement quickly spread across social media, with fans sharing the post and discussing their theories online. One fan wrote,
“Taking their vampire concept to another level and collaborating with the world health organization for a blood donation campaign enhypen you are the kpop group ever”
Fans continued speculating about a possible WHO collaboration for ENHYPEN after their Korean Red Cross blood donation campaign. Many highlighted how the group’s vampire concept has extended into real-life donation drives, boosting youth participation and raising expectations for another large-scale public health initiative.
Some fans also recalled that Jungwon mentioned avoiding ear piercings so he could continue participating in blood donation, which fans viewed as part of the group’s ongoing involvement in such initiatives.
Some fans joked that, in contrast to traditional vampire lore, the group’s image was more about donating blood than “sucking it”.
ENHYPEN’s Korean Red Cross blood donation campaign draws 3,419 participants, boosts first-time donors nearly 19-fold
Previously, ENHYPEN’s campaign with the Korean Red Cross generated significant participation from fans. According to reports by The Chosun Ilbo, 3,419 people donated blood in person during the 10-day campaign period. Donation centers in Seoul recorded their highest participation numbers on the campaign’s opening day.
The initiative also saw a sharp rise in first-time donors. The number reportedly increased from 54 during the pre-campaign period to 1,031 during the campaign, nearly 19 times higher than before. An online photocard giveaway attracted an additional 4,311 participants.
The report further noted that teenagers and people in their 20s made up the majority of participants, accounting for roughly 70% of donors at blood centers and around 80% on mobile donation buses.
As part of the initiative, major donation centers and mobile blood buses were decorated in line with the campaign theme inspired from the group’s vampire-inspired concept. Donors who gave whole blood or platelets were given “Blood Bite” chocolates along with unreleased photocard sets featuring all members.
ENHYPEN is currently on their ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR BLOOD SAGA, beginning with a three-show run in Seoul. The tour will next head to São Paulo on July 4, followed by stops across South America, North America, Asia, and Europe, with dates scheduled through March 2027.
