F1 fans online have shared their reaction to MMA legend Jon Jones revealing that Lewis Hamilton blocked him on social media after he shared a video of himself hunting pigs from a helicopter. Hamilton even called Jones a “coward” for not giving the animals a fighting chance and killing them with a rifle.
Jones sat down for an interview with ALF Global recently, where he shared the story of Lewis Hamilton unfollowing and blocking him on Instagram. The 7x world champion did not agree with Jones’ actions, as he was hunting pigs from a helicopter with an AR-15 rifle in a video he shared online.
“Lewis saw that video and wrote me a long message saying I was a coward, and that he thought that I was better than that,” said Jones.
“He said that only a coward could shoot an animal from a helicopter. He said, ‘give the animal a chance to fight you back at least.’ He unfollowed me, and he blocked me,” he added.

Lewis Hamilton optimistic about the second half of the 2026 F1 season
Following the Hungarian GP, which marked the end of the first half of the 2026 F1 season, Lewis Hamilton shared an optimistic outlook for the second half, saying he usually performs better during that period. He also reviewed the first 11 rounds, saying it has been an “amazing” one for him and Ferrari.
Speaking to the media in Budapest on Sunday, Hamilton said:
“It has been an amazing first half given we’ve been probably three or four-tenths down on the straights in pace and power for the first half of the season. We’ve got a bit more to come in the second half and we keep on pushing.”
“Usually the second half is a stronger period for me. So I’ll really take this time to reset and try and come back stronger, fitter and better mentally prepared.”
Hamilton also reflected on challenging Kimi Antonelli for the drivers’ title, saying there are still a lot of points up for grabs in 2026. At the halfway stage of the season, the 41-year-old sits seconds in the drivers’ standings, 50 points behind the leader, with one win and four other podiums to his name.
