“His mom is crazy”: Ex-NFL scout calls out Jayden Daniels’ mom Regina for making Commanders QB “look bad” over LSU drama

On Thursday, Jayden Daniels’ family announced that they had urged LSU to cease and desist on using the former Tigers quarterback name, image and likeness in any school promotion. Daniels, who won the Heisman Trophy in his final collegiate season at LSU in 2023, was drafted by the Washington Commanders in the first round in 2024.

Amid the drama around Daniels and LSU, a former NFL scout, who goes by the username ‘AngryScoutVet’ on X, has criticized the Commanders QB’s mother, Regina Jackson.

“I feel really bad for Jayden. Getting crazy advice. Everyone knows what is mom is about. I have to wonder if this is due to her. With all she has done to hurt the family rep I’m surprised he even listens to her,” the anonymous scout tweeted on Thursday.

When a fan suggested that Daniels is old enough to make his own decisions, the former scout agreed, but continued to critize Regina.

“Absolutely but his mom is crazy. Wouldn’t shock me if she pushed for this. Unless he has a contract where they signed away this right for him to do this they should ignore it. This makes him look bad. Ridiculous stuff,” the anonymous scout tweeted.

Daniels began his collegiate career at Arizona State in 2019. He transferred to LSU ahead of the 2022 season.

Regina is an NFLPA-certified agent and acts as the sole agent for her son, Daniels in July 2024 when the QB signed with the Commanders.
