The Diaz brothers have once again found themselves in Conor McGregor’s crosshairs.

McGregor took shots at Nate and Nick Diaz with a short but fiery post on X. The former two-division UFC champion used five words to make his feelings clear, writing:

    “Fu*k the fuc*ing Diaz brothers!”

The latest outburst adds another chapter to one of the most memorable rivalries of McGregor’s career. Nate and McGregor first met at UFC 196 in 2016, where the Stockton native stunned the Irishman with a second-round submission.

Five months later, the pair settled the score at UFC 202. McGregor edged Nate by majority decision after five closely contested rounds.

Their rivalry became one of the biggest attractions in UFC history. The build-up featured plenty of verbal exchanges, while both fights delivered huge pay-per-view numbers.

Nick has also shared a long-standing connection with McGregor’s story. Although the two never fought, Nick’s status as Nate’s older brother has kept him closely tied to the rivalry.

Nate had also turned down an opportunity to revisit his rivalry with McGregor, according to reports earlier this year. Instead, he preferred to pursue a fight against Charles Oliveira and indicated that he wanted to face top competition at its peak. That being said, he ended up fighting and losing to former UFC fighter Mike Perry.

As for McGregor, the Irishman has been struggling inside the octagon in recent fights. His long-awaited return against Max Holloway at UFC 329 ended after just 69 seconds when he suffered another serious knee injury. The setback also left McGregor without a victory since January 2020.

Max Holloway fires back at Conor McGregor after UFC 329 fallout

Max Holloway has pushed back hard against Conor McGregor’s version of their UFC 329 fight.

Their rematch ended after just 69 seconds when McGregor injured his knee during an early jumping kick. Holloway was awarded a TKO victory, but McGregor later blamed the entrance fog and argued that the result should be overturned.

Addressing the comments in a video posted on his YouTube channel, Holloway said:

“For that dude to be talking about how it was slippery because of the dry ice or whatever, I don’t know what he’s talking about because I didn’t fall. Him talking about this ‘generational beating,’ dude is delusional. Because, to me, he felt slow in there. He felt slow. He looked old. If there was going to be a generational beating, it wasn’t going to be on his end, I’ll tell you that much. It wasn’t going to be coming from his side.”

    He added:

“At the end of the day, I feel bad for the fans. It was a big event. A lot of people spent a lot of money. Shout out to them for coming to support, but I had the man weak in the knees from the beginning, I guess.”
