The new DT Swiss TRACKR SPEED by Wahoo is a rear-hub-mounted speed sensor made for compatible DT Swiss road and gravel wheels. Instead of strapping a pod to a fork leg or chainstay, the TRACKR SPEED clips around the rear hub and reads wheel rotation directly.
It’s a small product, but it hits a real use case. GPS speed is fine until the route goes through tunnels, steep mountain roads, dense tree cover, or city streets where signal quality gets messy. The TRACKR SPEED uses a 3-axis accelerometer to read hub rotation, giving riders speed and distance data without depending on GPS.

Built for DT Swiss Hubs
The sensor is based on Wahoo’s TRACKR SPEED platform (basically universal that goes around the front hub), but DT Swiss gives it its own housing and hub-specific fit.

There are two versions: TRACKR SPEED DICUT and TRACKR SPEED SPLINE. DT Swiss says the sensor works with a wide range of current and previous road and gravel disc-brake wheels, including 1100 and 1400-level DICUT models, wheels with 350 SPLINE hubs, and the newer 1800 series.
As always, check compatibility before ordering. It looks integrated, but it still needs the right hub shell.

Rechargeable, ANT+, and Bluetooth
The big difference from many speed sensors is the battery.
The TRACKR SPEED uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery instead of a coin cell. It charges with a magnetic cable and is rated for up to 94 hours of ride time. DT Swiss also lists the sensor at 23g with an IPX7 protection rating. Not too much extra weight for those that are mega weight-conscious.

It connects via ANT+ and Bluetooth, so it pairs with Wahoo/common bike computers, smartwatches, and phones.
That makes the pitch pretty simple: cleaner mounting, no disposable battery, and more reliable speed/distance data when GPS starts drifting. It also seems like this may be a popular option for those who don’t want to run a cycling computer, but still want to track their rides while using this connected to various smartphone or smartwatch apps.

The Wheel: G 1800 SPLINE TRACKR SPEED Bundle
DT Swiss is also offering the sensor as part of a complete rear-wheel package: the G 1800 SPLINE TRACKR SPEED Bundle.
That wheel uses a 12x142mm rear hub with a 370 Straightpull shell and 36T Ratchet LN system. It gets a Center Lock disc interface, 24 spokes laced 2-cross, and freehub options for SRAM XDR, Shimano Road, and Shimano MICRO SPLINE Road.

The rim is aluminum, tubeless-ready, hooked, and sleeved, with a 622 x 26mm listed rim dimension and 20mm rim height. Claimed weight starts at 920g. Max system weight is 130kg, and the wheel carries an ASTM 2 rating. The wheel includes tubeless tape, a tubeless valve, and the TRACKR charger.
