Real Madrid set for crisis meeting as Arsenal ready move for Brazil striker

It may not have been clear on the pitch untill Saturday, but it wasn’t the perfect transfer window for Arsenal in the summer.

The Gunners set their sights on several attacking stars, but faced stumbling block after stumbling block – failing to sign both Vinicius Junior and Morgan Rogers or an out and out number nine.

It left many frustrated at the Emirates, despite coming off the back of their Premier League triumph just months earlier.

And that demand hasn’t gone away after Mikel Arteta‘s side were swept away on the South coast by Brighton on Saturday. Those in north London still have money to spend and could do exactly that in January.

Viktor Gyokeres‘ slow start combined with a lack of goals for new signing Christos Tzolis has raised question marks over Arsenal’s frontline for the umpteenth time.

That has been clear since the start of the campaign despite the wins, and after the defeat to Brighton it becomes easy to look towards the January transfer window.

This time, there’s another Real Madrid name emerging, too. One that could head for the exit door instead of Vinicius Jr.

Arsenal readying January talks to sign Endrick

As reported by TeamTalk, Arsenal are now readying talks to sign Endrick from Real Madrid in January. The Brazilian has once again struggled for minutes in Spain, despite various promises since the arrival of Jose Mourinho, and is now set for crisis talks with those at the Bernabeu.

Should those talks end badly, then the door will open up for Arsenal to make their move. Whilst there is a belief from Endrick that he can become a key player at Madrid, there’s no denying that the pathway is not clear.

Ahead of the 20-year-old, Yan Diomande, Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Arda Guler, Carlos Espi and a returning Rodrygo are all on Mourinho’s list of options. It’s almost an impossible job for the youngster.

That said, it’s easy to see why Endrick will have his complaints. Just last season, he thrived on loan at Lyon – scoring eight goals and assisting another eight in just 21 games – but has since been forced to watch on from the bench back at Madrid.

“He has this gift, which is very effective, and in training you can see that he has something special. He’s very effective, with a very strong and very rapid shot.” – Carlo Ancelotti

Praise from Ancelotti very much suggests that this is a player full of potential, no matter his current predicament and that should give Arsenal plenty of hope. If they receive the green light from all parties, then Endrick would be an excellent addition.
