Popular streamer Zack “Asmongold” recently reacted to Twitch’s promotional video for World of Warcraft Forever after noticing that the platform did not include him in its compilation of content from the game. During a recent stream, Asmongold discussed Twitch’s decision and said, “I find that to be very, very odd,” while also wondering whether the platform simply did not have any suitable clips of him to use.
Asmongold first brought up the compilation while discussing Blizzard’s stance on World of Warcraft Forever and played the promotional video after reading the caption of the post. Asmon said:
“Classic Plus is real, and Warcraft fans will never be the same. I didn’t show you guys this.”
The popular streamer then questioned why he was not featured in Twitch’s compilation, while acknowledging that the platform may simply not have found any clips it considered suitable.
He said:
“I’m Baltimore. Yeah, so no, they’re not gonna do that at all. And I find that to be very, very odd. And, you know, hopefully it pushes the future of old games. And I don’t know, maybe it’s because there weren’t any good clips. I have no idea. I thought that we had some good clips. But, you know, like, I see something like this, right?”
Asmongold also pointed out that Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris was absent from the compilation as well, saying that Soda has had issues with the organization in the past.
Asmon added:
“I think that there… Soda also wasn’t in it. They’ve had issues with Soda back and forth many times.”
Asmongold responds after Olympus guild master gets banned from World of Warcraft Forever beta over inappropriate name
Asmon recently reacted after learning that the guild master of one of his Olympus guilds had been banned from the World of Warcraft Forever beta, leaving the guild unable to remove him. The streamer later learned via the chat that the player had previously used the name “Illegal Migrant,” which appeared to be linked to the ban over an inappropriate name.
In a clip from the stream shared on X, Asmongold questioned how the guild master had been banned and whether Blizzard was taking action against guild masters.
He said:
“How do you know he was banned? Wait, they’re banning our guild masters? What the f**k? Wait a minute. Olympus 69 is now Olympus… wait, what happened?”
The streamer then tried to figure out exactly what had happened to the guild and who had been banned. He said:
“Blizzard banned some of our… What was the guild master’s name? What was the guild master’s name? It wasn’t… Was it Gabe Ackman? So apparently, people are telling me that it was Illegal Migrant. Illegal Migrant, or Illegal Immigrant, was the guild master of Olympus 69, and then he got reported. And then let me actually just look and see.”
